Foo Fighters Do a Carrie-esque Ice Water Challenge

Challenged to do the ALS ice water challenge by Zach Brown, Dave Grohl accepted it, dressed, of course, in his finest prom dress. As one of the many celebrities who have accepted the viral challenge, the popularity of this has grown over the last month in order to raise awareness for ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Grohl took the challenge and made it into the infamous prom scene from “Carrie” with The bucket of ice water the bucket of blood. Also seen in the video is the Foo Fighters’ drummer, Taylor Hawkins, guitarist, Pat Smear, and bassist Nate Mendel.

Paul McCartney Reveals Unseen Beatles’ Photo

At his concert in Candlestick Park in San Francisco, Paul McCartney revealed an unseen photo from The Beatles’ last concert, which had taken place at the same venue. Candlestick Park hosted McCartney as their final public performance after 54 years of hosting the city’s sporting events and live performances.

The image is of many that were shown on the big screen behind McCartney as he performed at Candlestick Park last night, August 14. The concert was called “Farewell To Candlestick: The Final Concert” as the venue will soon close its doors. The Beatles performed at this venue on August 29, 1966.

As McCartney played Little Richard’s “Long Tall Sally,” a collection of Jim Marshall’s never before seen pictures.

McCartney’s stop at Candlestick Park is the latest show on Paul his ‘Out There’ tour. In July, McCartney continued the tour, after taking two months off after contracting a virus in Tokyo, Japan. He postponed concerts in Lubbock, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Nashville and Louisville until October.

Black Keys Release “Weight of Love” Video

The video begins with a group of women watching the “Fever” video, then shows that they are part of a cult that is run by model, Lara Stone. The women were laden in all white. The cult lives in a lighthouse and do laundry topless, because it can be hard not to stain your all white attire. The cult worships and follows a strict religious regime for whoever they follow.

Inaugural Jabberwocky Festival Cancelled

Three days before the festival was supposed to open for a weekend of music and culture in the ExCel Centre in East London, it was announced that the festival is cancelled.

The festival was hosted by All Tomorrow’s Parties, Pitchfork and Primavera Sound. The first Jabberwocky festival was supposed to
take place from the 15th to the 16th of August. The line-up included: James Blake, Deafheaven, Caribou, Neutral Milk Hotel, Darkside, Liars and Electric Wizard, and others.

The organiser of the festival made the following statement: “It is with deep sadness we regret to inform everyone that as of today Tuesday 12th August 2014, ATP is being forced into cancelling this weekend’s Jabberwocky festival. Refunds will be available to all customers at the point of purchase.

We have put everything into promoting Jabberwocky, and despite healthy ticket sales; all our efforts could not take those sales to the point that we needed to finally stage the event. Over the past month and all the way up until this moment we have tried every possible course of action to follow through in delivering Jabberwocky to you, but the position we unfortunately find ourselves in as a result of a succession of events that have lost money in an increasingly aggressive festival market, means we are no longer able to do so.

In the past ATP has weathered losses such as this and gone on with the show, taking huge direct financial blows as an independent company. But on this occasion, with an event of this scale and the high production costs that come with it – if we had gone ahead; it would have 100% been the end of ATP. We do not take this decision lightly and it was the hardest we’ve ever had to make.

All other ATP Presents shows will go ahead as planned, including ATP Iceland with our local partners there in 2015.

We apologise to all the people we have let down from fans to the bands, the venue and all the suppliers. We have tried everything in our power to save this event and continue, but the losses we have recently incurred have unfortunately been too much for a company of our size to bear.

For any questions, please contact us at feedback@atpfestival.com

All Tomorrow’s Parties”

Details on how to receive refunds on ticket purchases can be found at the point of purchase.
