Spoon announce tour

Spoon have announced tour dates for 2017. The band will play the United States and Germany starting with a show on April 27 in Mobile, Alabama in support of their upcoming new album Hot ThoughtsThe band have shared the title track from the new album so far. Empire of the Sun and the Avalanches announce tour

Empire of the Sun have announced a U.S. tour for 2017, including a couple of shows with the Avalanches in Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada. Besides their previously announced Coachella dates, these shows are set to be the Avalanches’ first U.S. shows in 15 years, after their return with Wildflower last year. Pond announce tour, share “30000 Megatons” video

Pond have shared a video for their track, “30000 Megatons.” It is joined by a new tour announcement. The video, edited by Ashley Rommelrath, shows spliced footage of riots, military operations, ads, and music festivals. Watch it below with the tour dates.

“3000 Megatons” is on Pond’s upcoming record, The Weather. The album which was produced by Kevin Parker, is set to be out May 5th via Marathon Artists

Beach House announce tour, new rarities compilation

Beach House have announced a tour starting this March. The band announced a few headlining shows to coincide with their festival dates, which includes previously announced appearances at Governors Ball in New York City and Ceremonia in Mexico City. Beach House are also currently working on a compilation of B-sides and rarities. It’s set to come out in the beginning half of 2017, according to a press release. The Shins announce album Heartworms, share new song

The Shins have announced their much-anticipated new album, Heartworms. The follow-up to Port of Morrow is set to be out March 10th via Columbia. It includes the previously released “Dead Alive,” and a new track called “Name for You,” which you can listen to below as well as the tracklist.

They also announced tour dates in support of the album. See the itinerary below. James Mercer will be joined by Yuuki Matthews (bass), Jon Sortland (drums), Mark Watrous (guitar, keys, vocals), Casey Foubert (guitar) and Patti King (keys) on this tour, according to a press release.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah announce new album, The Tourist, share “Fireproof”

Songwriter Alec Ounsworth on Feburary 24th will release a new album under Clap Your Hands Say Yeah named The Tourist. It will be his fifth full-length under the name and it is the follow-up to 2014’s Only Run.

The Tourist was recorded in a week at Dr. Dog’s studio in Philadelphia. It has 10 tracks and they were engineered by Nick Krill of The Spinto Band and mixed by Dave Fridmann, who also helped on two of CYHSY’s previous LPs. The album is said to be a “nod” to Ounsworth’s inspirations like Tom Waits, Nick Cave, and Paul Simon.

Mogwai announce 2017 Atomic U.S. tour

Mogwai have announced a tour for 2017 for their latest album Atomic, performing it for the first time in the United States. The dates are set to start January 18th in Los Angeles at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, and will have stops in Chicago, Montreal, and New York as well. Check out the full itinerary below. Atomic features material that was reworked from the band’s soundtrack for the BBC documentary, Atomic: Living In Dread and Promise.
