The guitarist for My Morning Jacket, Carl Broemel has announced his latest solo album, 4th of July. The album will be released August 19 through Stocks in Asia/Thirty Tigers. Listen to the first single, “Sleep Lagoon,” below. It was recorded in his downtime from My Morning Jacket, and Broemel’s new LP will feature contributions from Neko Case, Laura Veirs, and Jacket bandmates Bo Koster and Tom Blankenship.
