Gary Clark Jr.’s latest LP, The Story of Sonny Boy Slim, shad him exploring every genre, going from hip-hop to funk, garage rock to R&B. In his video trilogy for “BYOB,” “Can’t Sleep,” and “Shake,” his talents are placed together in a perfect mold.

The almost 10-minute video, directed by Gus Black, follows the guitarist through the all the stages of a party. He and his band walk up to “BYOB,” ready for the night. Then they play in a club with “Can’t Sleep.” The next morning, the party-goers wake up at dawn for “Shake.”
