Blood Remixed features more than a dozen artists and producers remixing the original album, including Moon Boots, Jacques Greene, Channel Tres, Little Dragon, Jeff Samuel, and more. The beloved Nathan Fielder docu-reality comedy series “Nathan for You” has officially come to an end. According to a statement from Comedy Central, Fielder, show creator and star, decided not to have the show return for a fifth season made the decision not to bring back the show for a fifth season. “For the past five years Comedy Central had the pleasure of working with the brilliant Nathan Fielder on ‘Nathan For You,’” the statement read. “His innovative and quick-witted humor has made the show a comedic touchstone and we’re proud to have been a part of it. We respect Nathan’s decision to end the series and look forward to geeking out over his next project.”
Gold Panda and Simian Mobile Disco’s Jas Shaw have formed a new duo called selling. On October 10th, they shared their debut album On Reflection. Gold Panda and Shaw recorded On Reflection in Shaw’s studio in Kent, England. Gold Panda said in a press release about the album, “It’s the most immediate and natural record I’ve ever made.” He also said:
We didn’t make this for a label or something. Initially, it was just us mucking around. There was no plan to make an album. Originally I thought we were going to make a track here and there and stick them out on vinyl. But then, we had an album that sounded quite good and it was like “well if we have an album’s worth of stuff, maybe we should just release it.” It became a thing, I suppose.
But we’ll quit if it becomes a smash hit record.
Soccer Mommy has released a cover of the Dixie Chicks’ song “Wide Open Spaces.” Soccer Mommy’s Sophie Allison said in a statement, “I think ‘Wide Open Spaces’ is one of those perfect ’90s alt country songs. Mr Twin Sister have announced a new album titled Salt, and it is set to be out on October 25th via Twin Group. It is their first release since their 2014 self-titled and in anticipation of the release, they shared the lead single, “Tops and Bottoms.” Listen to it below
