Grouper announces tour

Grouper, aka Liz Harris, has announced a tour which starts in September with an appearance at Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 8th. serpentwithfeet announces North American tour

Josiah Wise’s, aka serpentwithfeet’s, debut album soil was released last week and has announced tour dates today in support. Although the majority of the dates are in Europe, the project is also set to perform at festivals like Fuji Rock in Tokyo, Treasure Island Music Festival in Oakland, and standard show in his hometown, Baltimore. Ross From Friends announces debut album, first tour in the U.S.

Ross From Friends, aka Felix Clary Weatherhall, is set to release his debut album July 27th via Brainfeeder, titled Family Portrait.

For the producer, the album took almost two years to make, spending upwards of 20 hours a day in the studio. According to Weatherhall, “Every time I went to make music the things which would really grab me are the emotional things, and while I’m in that place I felt I could really focus on the track. That was a massive part of this album, tapping into my emotions…into my emotional instability.”

In support of this release, Weatherhall will be playing shows from June through November. Find the dates below

Mitski announces tour

Mitski has announced a tour backing her upcoming album Be The Cowboy. Following a number of U.S. solo shows this month, she will tour with a full-band in Europe, the UK, Canada, and the United States. Check out Mitski’s tour schedule below. A number of tickets are available to buy here.

Gorillaz announce new Album and tour, release two new songs

Gorillaz have shared two new songs, “Humility,”(which features jazz and soul legend George Benson and came with a Jack Black-featured music video) as well as “Lake Zurich.” Listen to both tracks below.

Gorillaz have also shared details about their new record The Now Now which is set to arrive June 29th via Warner Bros./Parlophone. The group have announced a tour as well, and confirmed that their Demon Dayz Festival will have a second year on October 20th in Los Angeles. Beach Slang to release new album as Quiet Slang

Beach Slang under the name Quiet Slang, their chamber pop version of the band, are releasing an album set to be out later this month though Polyvinyl.

The album, called Everything Matters But No One Is Listening is the band re-contextualizing 10 Beach Slang “covers,” and it takes away its most distinctive features. The album provides a more subtle version of the songs by scaling back on their traditional instruments and towards the likes of the piano and cello.

Big Thief announce tour

Big Thief have announced a tour for their album Capacity which came out last year and will follow their appearances at festivals like Sasquatch this summer. The tour will continue throughout the fall across North America. Find their full itinerary on their website.

Angel Olsen announces first solo tour since 2014

Angel Olsen has announced a solo tour after a number of shows in May and June in Europe. Check out her full itinerary below. A press release stated that Olsen will perform “new unreleased material” during these solo shows. She will play shows throughout the tour with the likes of Hand Habits, Julianna Barwick, and Dick Stusso.

Olsen has partnered with PLUS1 for this tour where $1 from every ticket sold except in Vancouver and North Adams will go to Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization that helps “ improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergencies.”
