River Cuomo to Star in Sitcom About His Life

Weezer frontman, River Cuomo, is set to star in a sitcom about his own life. The one-camera sitcom, entitled Detour, was funded for a pilot by Fox. The show will be written and executive produced by Steve Franks, who also wrote for Psych, popular detective show.

The show will revolve around the singer who walked away the spotlight to focus on what life would have been if he was not famous. The show is somewhat autobiographical and includes life events such as him attending Harvard from 1995 to 2006 on and off. Also, earlier today (August 28), Weezer released a snippet from a new song from their upcoming album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End. The album is due out on October 7.
