Gold Panda and Simian Mobile Disco’s Jas Shaw release new album

Gold Panda and Simian Mobile Disco’s Jas Shaw have formed a new duo called selling. On October 10th, they shared their debut album On Reflection. Listen to the record, and watch their Tilly Shiner directed music video for “Keeping Txme” below. Physical copies of On Reflection is set to come out on December 14th via City Slang.

Gold Panda and Shaw recorded On Reflection in Shaw’s studio in Kent, England. Gold Panda said in a press release about the album, “It’s the most immediate and natural record I’ve ever made.” He also said:

We didn’t make this for a label or something. Initially, it was just us mucking around. There was no plan to make an album. Originally I thought we were going to make a track here and there and stick them out on vinyl. But then, we had an album that sounded quite good and it was like “well if we have an album’s worth of stuff, maybe we should just release it.” It became a thing, I suppose.

But we’ll quit if it becomes a smash hit record.
