Open Mike Eagle announces new album, shares new song

Open Mike Eagle has announced a new upcoming album, What Happens When I Try to Relax. In anticipation, he has shared the first song from the album, a track called “Relatable (peak OME).” Listen to it below. “It’s too complicated for a quick explanation. It’s about a lot of things. It’s about expectations of form, anxiety, middle age and middle class. And that’s just the parts I know how to put into words a couple months after writing it,” Mike said about the song in a statement.

Austin festival Sound on Sound announces inaugural lineup

Fun Fun Fun Fest may or may not happen this year still. But Williams began a new festival called Sound On Sound and it has practically taken over the Fun Fun Fun. The first Sound On Sound festival is going to be at Austin’s Sherwood Forest Faire 11/4-6, and it’s got an all-over-the-place lineup including Beach House, Phantogram, Run The Jewels, Big Boi, Purity Ring, Descendents, and local Austinites Explosions In The Sky.
