Watch Bon Iver perform “8 (circle)” for one fan

La Blogothèque has created a new video series called “One2One,” where the featured musician performs for a single hand-picked fan. The first performer is Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, who performed for a fan during Michelberger Music event last at Funkhaus in Berlin, Germany. He plays an acoustic rendition of his 22, A Million song “8 (circle).” Watch it below.

Bjork talks about sexual harassment experience

Björk today told a story on Facebook about a time when she was sexually harassed when she was working with an unnamed filmmaker. “i am inspired by the women everywhere who are speaking up online to tell about my experience with a danish director,” she wrote. “it was extremely clear to me whe n i walked into the actresses profession that my humiliation and role as a lesser sexually harassed being was the norm and set in stone with the director and a staff of dozens who enabled it and encouraged it. … when i turned the director down repeatedly he sulked and punished me and created for his team an impressive net of illusion where i was framed as the difficult one.”

She goes on saying that after she confronted the director about his behavior, “he had a more fair and meaningful relationship with his actresses after my confrontation so there is hope.” She continued, “let’s hope this statement supports the actresses and actors all over. let’s stop this. there is a wave of change in the world.” Read her full statement below.

Watch Wu-Tang perform with the Roots on “Fallon”

The Wu-Tang Clan performed on last night’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The Roots were the backing band for RZA, Ghostface Killah, Cappadonna, and Steven Latorre. They played “My Only One” from the new album Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues. Watch video of their performance here. Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues is the first release from 36 Chambers Alc, a lifestyle company by RZA and Mustafa Shaikh. 

FKA twigs launches Instagram zine

FKA twigs has shared her new “Instagram magazine.” “AVANTgarden” issue 1, called “ROOTS. SHOCK. BEAUTY.” is available now on her account which can be found here. The zine uses the app’s latest slide-show feature that allows readers to flip through it. twigs recruited a number of friends and past collaborators for the new project, which she described as “a way for me to express myself without any rules or guidelines, with imagination and care.”

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have put out a previously unreleased “Black Tongue” demo from their upcoming reissue of their album Fever to Tell. Listen to it below. Previously, Yeah Yeah Yeahs have also released the tracks “Phone Jam” and “Shake It.” The upcoming reissue, which is set to be out October 20th, will feature a documentary called There Is No Modern Romance, a film shot in 2003 that follows the band on their tour of the UK.

Fleet Foxes Announce Record Store Day’s Black Friday Vinyl 10″

Fleet Foxes have announced a new EP, The Electric Lady Session that will be released as a 10″ vinyl for this year’s Record Store Day Black Friday on November 24th. The EP contains live performances of four songs from the band’s latest album Crack-Up. Killer Mike slams Mike Pence, defends NFL protests

Killer Mike turned to Instagram to share an impassioned response to Mike Pence’s announcement that he left a Indianapolis Colts game when he saw that the players knelt during the national anthem. “I wonder how he feels about the constitution,” Mike opens. “Free speech is what protects this and any protest. The constitution that guards against Tyranny like the state abusing and denying citizens full rights.” The statement is finished, “God speed on our next election. I hope we send his religious nut ass back home to relish in his false understanding of what this country is and we never see him on a national stage again.” Read his full statement below.
