Fleet Foxes have announced more tour dates for 2018. The first of a leg of shows in the U.S. behind their latest album, Crack-Up, will start March 1st at the Ritz Ybor in Tampa, Florida. The band is also set to play headlining shows in Sacramento, San Antonio, Louisville, Washington D.C., and more, on top of festival performances at Coachella, Boston Calling, and others.

Finn Wolfhard’s new band Calpurnia performed last night in Brooklyn. The “Stranger Things” actor played a series covers as well as originals at Rough Trade NYC. Amongst the covers, the played the Velvet Underground’s “Here She Comes Now” from their White Light/White Heat album. “This song goes out to Lou Reed,” Wolfhard said. Alice Glass has released a video for “Forgiveness,” from last year’s self-titled solo EP. It was directed by Lindsey Mann and comes after her video for “Without Love.” Watch it below. “This song is about rejecting the idea of forgiveness,” Alice Glass said in a statement. “Forgiveness isn’t always a moral act, the way some religions portray it. Sometimes forgiveness can be exploitative or even predatory, especially when people use it as a means to guilt someone rather than heal them. When forgiveness is used to create a false sense of superiority it is a toxic act.”
In a “Portlandia” interview with Billboard, Carrie Brownstein announced that Sleater-Kinney are working on a new record and talked about recording new music with Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss, saying that they are taking their time. “Now, just so you know, we’re going to do this very slowly,” she said. “It’s an ongoing conversation.” Sleater-Kinney had announced a hiatus in 2006 after their album The Woods which came out in 2005. They returned in 2015 with No Cities to Love.
Kendrick Lamar and Vince Staples appear in the new trailer for Marvel’s upcoming movie Black Panther with what seems to be a new song. Watch it below. The soundtrack for the film, Black Panther: The Album is produced and curated by both Kendrick and Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith. Black Panther is to be in theaters February 16th while the soundtrack is out February 9th. The film is also scored by Ludwig Göransson.
Flight of the Conchords, aka Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, have teased at returning plans with an hour-long special. In an interview with ET, Clement said, “We’re going to film a little something this year. We’re going to shoot an hour thing.” Their HBO show “Flight of the Conchords” premiered in 2007 but ended in 2009. It is currently uncertain whether or not their new special will be for HBO as when A.V. Club reached out for comment, a spokesperson for HBO replied, “The deals are not fully in place. We’ll hopefully have news soon and will be back in touch.”
