Japanese Breakfast announces tour, shares new video

The solo project of Michelle Zauner, Japanese Breakfast, has shared a new music video for her track “Road Head.” The clip, directed by Zauner, follows her character as she eats instant ramen, chain smokes cigarettes, and shares her life with a masked monster. “‘Road Head’ is the fifth music video [director of photography] Adam Kolodny and I have collaborated on,” Zauner said in a statement. “For this one we wanted to focus on staging and an exaggerated color palette. We were inspired by Fallen Angels and ‘Twin Peaks.’” “Road Head” will appear on Japanese Breakfast’s upcoming album Soft Sounds From Another Planet, which is set to be out July 14th via Dead Oceans.

Adele cancels final shows, citing voice problems

Adele has canceled the final two nights of her tour at Wembley Stadium in London during a four-night run at the arena. She cited damage to her vocal cords, the singer said in a statement, “To say I’m heartbroken would be a complete understatement. I’m already maxed out on steroids and aids for my voice. I’ve considered doing Saturday night’s show but it’s highly unlikely I’d even make it though the set and I simply can’t crumble in front of you all and walk out on you in that way.” Read her full statement below. The shows are yet to be rescheduled and refunds will be made available to fans if makeup shows are not planned. The singer has suffered from vocal issues before, which has also resulted in canceled tour dates.

Adele also recently revealed that she was unsure if she’d ever tour again which she wrote in a handwritten note included in tour programs at her first two Wembley Stadium shows, Rolling Stone points out. She wrote, “I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again. And so I want my last time to be at home.” She continued, “Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t suit me particularly well. I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things.” She ended it by thanking her fans and affirming, “I will remember all of this for the rest of my life.” Read that full note below as well.
