Neon Indian’s Alan Palomo scores new Sci-Fi film

Alan Palomo, aka Neon Indian, has scored his first film, an upcoming sci-fi movie named Everything Beautiful Is Far Away. It is directed by Pete Ohs, who has also directed videos for Best Coast and Wavves, and stars Julia Garner and Joseph Cross. The film, according to a press release, is about “a trio—a guy, his robot head companion and a determined young woman—who traverse a planet in search of a mythical lake.” Palomo’s score can be heard in a new film teaser; watch it below. Everything Beautiful Is Far Away will premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 21st.

Washed Out announces new album Mister Mellow

Ernest Greene, or Washed Out has announced a new visual album called Mister Mellow. It is the follow-up to 2013’s Paracosm and it is set to arrive June 30th via Stones Throw. Greene created the project almost entirely alone over two years, with his only collaborator was mix engineer Cole M. G. N. Mister Mellow will include the previously released track “Get Lost.” Below, watch the project’s trailer, which shows shots of pills falling in slow motion and moving psychedelic patterns. Watch Mac DeMarco perform “One More Love Song” on “Fallon”

Mac DeMarco made his network television debut on“The Tonight Show,” singing “One More Love Song” off his recently released album This Old Dog. Jimmy Fallon prefaced the performance by saying, “I’m tellin’ you, this is gonna win some awards.” Watch it below. DeMarco wore a shirt featuring himself and John Cena who was also a guest on the show during the program. DeMarco and Cena met each other at one point during the taping, which can also be found below.

Watch Radiohead play “I Promise” for first time in 21 years

Radiohead performed at the Oslo Spektrum in Norway today for their second show of their European tour. The band played the recently released OK Computer-era song “I Promise,” the first live performance of the song since 1996 during the set. “Normally, I don’t think we’re the sort of people to look back,” Yorke said before playing the track. “But, it was interesting, when we did, what a bunch of nutters we were, and probably still are. One of the things—one of the crazy things we did was not release this song, because we didn’t think it was good enough.” Watch it be performed below.

Alvvays announce new album Antisocialites, share new song “In Undertow”

The indie pop band Alvvays have announced their second album, Antisocialites. It is the follow-up to their 2014 self-titled debut LP. It is set to be out September 8th via Polyvinyl/Transgressive. In a press release, frontwoman Molly Rankin said, “This record is a fantasy breakup arc and my life nearly imitated art.” Listen to a new song from Antisocialites called “In Undertow,” the Antisocialites tracklist and Alvvays’ upcoming tour dates below.

M.I.A. announces new song “GOALS”

M.I.A. has announced a new song called “GOALS” and it features production from Branko, who worked on her last album AIM as well. The track is set to be out tomorrow, according to a tweet from M.I.A, she also previewed the song on Periscope back in January. She also shared the new track “P.O.W.A.” earlier this year and an alternate version of AIM’s “A.M.P.”
