Kendrick Lamar ignites new album rumors with Instagram post

Kendrick Lamar has posted an “IV” image on Instagram and cleared all of his other posts, sparking rumors that his fourth album is coming soon. See the post below. Kendrick also hinted at some themes of the upcoming record. “I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to my community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork,” he said. “To Pimp a Butterfly was addressing the problem. I’m in a space now where I’m not addressing the problem anymore.”

Local Natives’ new song will only play if your eyes are closed

Local Natives have released their new song “I Saw You Close Your Eyes.” Before you give the song a listen on its website, CloseYourEyes.net, the band have a very specific set of instructions that you need to follow. “In order for this experience to work best, please turn the lights off in your room and turn the brightness up on your laptop,” begins the directions. “If you’re wearing glasses, remove them for a moment. Then click the link to grant access to your eyes below, position your head about 12 inches from the screen and close your eyes when you’re ready to listen.” The website will then use your computer’s camera, and the song will play only if you keep your eyes closed the entire time. Listen to it here if you are ready.

The band also shared their cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk.”  They recorded the cover in the same studio where Fleetwood Mac recorded their original. It is part of a new Spotify series called “Music Happens Here.” Listen to it below.
