The supergroup made up of Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, and Mike McCready, and the drummer Matt Cameron, Temple of the Dog, have reunited for a tour to support the 25th-anniversary reissue of their 1991 self-titled debut album. They started the reunion tour last night in Philadelphia. Watch footage from the concert below. Consequence of Sound points out they played 23 songs. Their setlist included songs from the band’s discography and covers of David Bowie, Mother Love Bone, Harry Nilsson, Led Zeppelin, Syd Barrett, the Cure, and Black Sabbath.

ANOHNI shares new “Hopelessness” video
ANOHNI has released a new video for the title track of his 2016 HOPELESSNESS. It was directed by Alex Carver and the film shows “the fever dream of an anonymous corporate woman” where the “distant past and distant futures are irrationally fused in a bizarre, iconic vision of martyrdom where animals are citizens and people are drones,” according to a statement from Carver. Foxygen announce new album Hang, share “Follow the Leader” video
Foxygen have announced their follow-up to 2014’s …And Star Power. It is called Hang and it is set to be out January 20th through Jagjaguwar. The band have shared the music video for a song from the album called “Follow the Leader.” The video which is directed by Cameron Dutra, who also directed their “San Francisco” video, is filled with choreographed sequences with a bunch of backup dancers in a park. Watch it below. Foxygen also announced tour dates in support of Hang.
Every song on the album have a symphony orchestra as “America” and “Follow the Leader” hinted at. Trey Pollard arranged and conducted the group and Matthew E. White arranged additional arrangements. The album features appearances from Steven Drozd and the Lemon Twigs from the Flaming Lips.
The album is available through a Jagjaguwar bundle, which is packed with a flexi-disc which features demo versions of “Follow the Leader” and “On Lankershim.” The first 50 pre-orders come with an autographed piece of sheet music from the recording sessions.

John Lennon protest letter to Queen of England found in record sleeve
A letter that John Lennon wrote to Queen Elizabeth II has been found inside a record sleeve from a £10 car boot haul. The finder, who remains anonymous, purchased the record 20 years ago but he only recently found the note inside the sleeve.
As BBC News reports, the note may have been a draft of the actual letter Lennon sent in 1969, which still is in the Royal archive. The finder learned of its worth,£60,000, when he took it to a valuation day at The Beatles Story in Liverpool on Wednesday. The draft could have been gotten rid of because of a smudge on the signature, which is visible in the image of it above.
In the letter, Lennon explains why he was returning his MBE and that it was in protest against Britain’s involvement in the Nigerian Civil War. He also says that the UK’s “support of America in Vietnam” and “Cold Turkey slipping down the charts” are reasons for his protest.

Pity Sex announce indefinite hiatus
Pity Sex have announced that they are going to be taking an indefinite hiatus. The announcement comes after the departure of guitarist Britty Drake earlier this year and the release of their most recent album, White Hot Moon. Barbagallo to release new album Grand Chien
Barbagallo is the project of Julien Barbagallo, the French musician who also plays drums in Tame Impala. He is releasing a new album this week called Grand Chien, and is set to be out October 28 through Arista France. According to fans at the show, Archy Marshall announced that a new King Krule record is on its way. He also released a new album, A New Place 2 Drown, under his real name last December.

Vic Mensa has released a new video for “16 Shots” from his most recent EP, There’s Alot Going On. Watch it here.
