ANOHNI is performing her “last show” tonight in Aarhus, Denmark. In an Instagram post, the composer/singer-songwriter wrote, “I keep telling everyone it’s my last show, but no one seems to believe me,” and ended it with the hashtag, “#ITISFINISHED.” Find the post below. Tonight’s concert, which is backed by the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, is the conclusion of ANOHNI being the Aarhus 2017 Artist-in-Residence.

Deerhunter’s Bradford Cox making new music with Cate Le Bon
Deerhunter and Atlas Sound’s Bradford Cox and Cate Le Bon are working together on new music as the “musicians in residence” for next year’s Marfa Myths Festival. The sessions will be released as an EP eventually. Marfa Myths goes through April 12-15 in the Marfa, Texas. Wire, Tom Zé, Suzanne Ciani, Circuit Des Yeux, Jessica Pratt, the Weather Station, and Ryley Walker are some of the other performers for the festival. Yo La Tengo announce European tour
Yo La Tengo have announced a number of European shows that they will start in April 2018 in Ireland and wrap up in Belgium in May. The band will also play their first Hanukkah shows in 5 years before the tour during an eight-night run at New York’s Bowery Ballroom. Check out the full itinerary below. Along with the tour announcement, Matador wrote: “MIGHT THIS TOUR HAVE SOMETHING OR OTHER TO DO WITH NEW RECORDINGS? Maybe. Possibly. Who can really say for sure in confusing times such as these.”

Chuck Mosley, former Faith No More frontman, dead at 57
Former frontman of Faith No More and Bad Brains, Chuck Mosley, died on November 9th. According to a statement from his family, he passed from addiction-related causes after a long sobriety. He was 57 years old. Mosley was the frontman of Faith No More starting in 1984 and recorded two albums with the band, including We Care a Lot and Introduce Yourself. He was fired in 1988 due to his erratic behavior while they were on tour and was replaced by current frontman, Mike Patton.
In a new statement, Faith No More remember their late frontman:
It’s with a heavy, heavy heart we acknowledge the passing of our friend and bandmate, Chuck Mosley. He was a reckless and caterwauling force of energy who delivered with conviction and helped set us on a track of uniqueness and originality that would not have developed the way it had had he not been a part. How fortunate we are to have been able to perform with him last year in a reunion style when we re-released our very first record. His enthusiasm, his sense of humor, his style and his bravado will be missed by so many. We were a family, an odd and dysfunctional family, and we’ll be forever grateful for the time we shared with Chuck.

Poliça announce new album Music for the Long Emergency
Poliça have announced a new album with Berlin-based orchestral collective s t a r g a z e called Music for the Long Emergency. It is set to be out February 16th via Totally Gross National Product/Transgressive. The album was made over the course of 18 months after the groups met in Berlin last year. The first single is the 10-minute “How Is This Happening,” which Poliça vocalist Channy Leaneagh wrote day after the 2016 U.S. presidential election. “That was an example of the truly healing effects of making music with your friends,” she said in a statement. “And while it doesn’t necessarily make things better, it builds community.” Listen to the track via NPR and check out the Music for the Long Emergency tracklist below.
