Solange has begun working on new music. In a new story on the cover of Billboard, she revealed that she has been “jamming” with Steve Lacy from the Internet. During the interview, Solange said that she is “not interested in entertainment at this moment.” She continues saying, “That might change. There might be a moment where I decide, ‘Hey, I love the game.’ For right now, I’m not [there].”
Kelela is in “The Sims” in her new “Frontline” video
Kelela has released a new video inspired by “The Sims” for her Take Me Apart song “Frontline.” Watch it below. Kelela developed the concept with Mischa Notcutt and Claudia Matè directed the animation and visual effects. “With this Sims-like video, I was able to tell my story in a light-hearted but dramatic way,” Kelela said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “It’s about leaving your ex with the wind in your hair while acknowledging a curiously complex feeling of pain that he has left you for a white woman.”
Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs soundtrack announced
The soundtrack to Wes Anderson’s new film, Isle of Dogs, has been announced, as Exclaim! pointed out. It will feature a score by composer Alexandre Desplat, pieces from Japanese films Seven Samurai and Drunken Angel and songs by the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band and the Sauter-Finegan Orchestra. The soundtrack is set to be out March 30th through ABKCO. Check out the tracklist on Amazon. The film will hit theaters on March 23rd.

The Avalanches release new remix EP
The Avalanches have released a remix EP for their song “Because I’m Me.” The band have collaborated with a bunch of different artists to remix the Wildflower track, including Moor Mother, Dâm-Funk, Black Milk, Bondax, and more. Listen to them below. The band also announced last August via Instagram that they have begun work on the follow-up to 2016’s Wildflower.
Belly announce new album, share new song
Belly are back with an announcement of their first record in 23 years, DOVE, which is set to be out May 4th. The band has also released the album’s first single “Shiny One.” Listen to it and find the DOVE tracklist below. “I have a lot of affection for ‘Shiny One,’” Tanya Donelly said in a statement. “It was the first completely collaborative song we’ve ever done—[bassist Gail Greenwood] wrote the riff and the chorus, [guitarist Tom Gorman] and I wrote the verse and bridge, [drummer Chris Gorman]’s parts shaped the direction and vibe. When I hear it, I hear all four of us equally.”

Watch Janelle Monáe’s video for new song “Make Me Feel”
Janelle Monáe has shared a new song from her upcoming album Dirty Computer called “Make Me Feel.” Watch the music video, directed by Alan Ferguson and stars Tessa Thompson below. Dirty Computer is set to be out April 27th. It will also feature the song “Django Jane.” Talking to Zane Lowe, who premiered the song on Beats 1, Monáe talked about Dirty Computer, “I actually had this title on this concept before my first album The ArchAndroid, and it scared me because a lot of the things that I knew that I needed to say were very deep, very personal, from the heart. You know, this is an extremely vulnerable album and it took me a while to make it because I’m a self editor.”
Sade returns with new song for A Wrinkle in Time
Sade has recorded new music for the upcoming film adaptation of the novel, A Wrinkle in Time. Director Ava DuVernay announced it today via Twitter, writing, “I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for WRINKLE IN TIME. It’s entitled ‘Flower of the Universe.’ And it’s a dream come true.” Find that tweet below.

Bon Iver played their For Emma, Forever Ago 10th anniversary show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin last night where they performed an unreleased song called “Hayward, WI” that Justin Vernon wrote while he was working on For Emma.
