Free Press Summer Fest have announced its 2016 lineup. The two-day music festival will take place June 4th – 5th at Eleanor Tinsley Park in Houston, Texas.
The lineup features The National, Modest Mouse, Refused, Jamie xx, Mac DeMarco, Built to Spill, Big Grams (Big Boi and Phantogram), ASAP Ferg, Against Me!, Thee Oh Sees, and The Black Angels
Also playing are deadmau5, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Leon Bridges, Young the Giant, Big Giantic, Gogol Bordello, Matt and Kim, Violent Femmes, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, San Fermin, Matthew Logan Vasquez, Chicano Batman, White Denim, BØRNS, and more.
Not even halfway through 205, Modest Mouse has had quite an important year. Not only have they released their first album in eight years, Strangers to Ourselves, they also have been making appearances on late-night television, and working already on another LP with Krist Novoselic. With all this hectic scheduling, the band still had the time for a summer tour.
this lengthy leg of dates in both North America and Europe includes headlining sets as well as festival sets. Modest Mouse are to perform the stages at Sasquatch!, Firefly Festival, Open’er Festival, and WayHome Music and Arts Festival, as well as many others before joining the Austin City Limits lineup in October.

The Firefly Music Festival, which takes place between June 18 to 21 in Dover, Delaware has released its 2015 lineup. At the beginning of the least there is Kings of Leon, the Killers, and an act that is yet to be announced, with rumors pointing it towards Paul McCartney. Also on the list are Modest Mouse, Spoon, Morrissey, Cage the Elephant, Gary Clark Jr., Run the Jewels, Snoop Dogg, Foster the People, Empire of the Sun, Hozier, Bastille, Zedd, Matt & Kim, Tove Lo, the Kooks, How to Dress Well, Sylvan Esso, Betty Who, Clean Bandit, and many more. Tickets from the pre-sale have been sold out but general admission and VIP passes are still available on the festival’s website. The entire lineup can be seen above.

Modest Mouse recently released new song, “Coyotes” along side a video that follows the story of a coyote riding a train through Portland.
Fan site, Interstate-8, pointed out that the song is inspired by the real story of a coyote that took the MAX light rail train in Portland in 2002. To watch, visit Interstate-8.
The new track will be on the upcoming Strangers to Ourselves which is set to come out March 3rd. The track will be available for purchase digitally tomorrow and the 7-inch vinyl for the song will be included in the first 2,500 pre-orders of the new album from the official website.
Strangers to Ourselves was announced last month and it is the band’s first studio album since We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank in 2007.
